La version anglaise revue, corrigée, et modifiée est terminée. J'ajoute manuellement les "signatures", il y en a une vingtaine pour le moment à la louche. N'hésitez pas à vous manifester un maximum et à partager l'info autour de vous, la lettre part dans deux jours grand max, et plus il y aura de noms de joueurs/clients Mantic mieux ce sera, merci d'avance.

Mantic visiblement vient rendre visite à VG. Enfin, ça c'est si ils ne mentent pas. Parce que la vérité est toujours ailleurs avec cette boite.

pour avoir un max de signature met la lettre sur FB en demandant de liker ou de mettre un petit mots , ça devrait avoir plus d'impact. J'ai des amis qui sont sur FB mais pas sur le forum.

Merci pour les noms... Par contre je ne sais plus quoi faire avec eux là... D'un côté j'ai bien envie d'envoyer la lettre telle quelle, de l'autre ils donnent des nouvelles infos, j'en peux plus, j'en ai marre...

Je pense que tu dois l'envoyer, les infos ne sont pas des promesses ( de toute façon on sait ce que ça vaut), et ça ne change rien au fait d'avoir été pris pour des idiots pendant des mois

Oui clairement, ça mange pas de pain et si ils voient vraiment les gens de mantic la semaine prochaine comme dit dans leur message, eh bah clairement ça leur fera les pieds!

Voici la lettre en anglais, corrigée et terminée (et je ne reviendrai pas dessus, zut !) (désolé, parfois je suis vulgaire... Ralgamaziel). J'ajoute les noms ce soir, j'attends demain matin au cas où il y ait d'autres personnes, merci de votre participation à tous, tant pour la forme que le fond de la lettre. Ces propos représentent l'opinion du plus grand nombre, en tous cas je l'espère.

After numerous debates and disccussions within the French wargamers community, we have decided to write to you today concerning the French distributor of your products : Victoria Game/Mantic France. We are a pretty numerous number of people being particularly disatisfied with the way Victoria Game treats your games and its clients in general, and this has been so for more than a year now.
 
It is important for us that you should understand that this letter is an alarm scream coming from enthusiastic fans who deeply love the games your society created. We love your miniatures; we love your game systems; we already love the V3 of Kings of War and its updates, and of course we appreciate the care and attention you put in their developpement. That is why it is particularly painful for us to see that an unworthy distributor is in charge of the whole French area.
 
Victoria Game has got a terrible habit: they have had an erratic communication for years, or no communication at all. The French Pathfinders who were the first ones to get new people to discover your games volontarily saw an alarming amount of them quit precisely because of the lack of a real organisation and communication toward them and clients: it simply became an actual lack of respect.
 
But the reason motivating us to write to you today is simpler and terribly more serious for the game in France : the lack of French translations (often poorly made ones) in too many cases. It has been indeed true for several months asa result, we are at the very best in a complete fog concerning any intention from Victoria Game to work on a translation for the V3 of Kings of War and Uncharted empire; and this is only the most recent example of that. I will mention this example later on.
 
We have often tried to communicate directly with Victoria Game so we could at least know what to expect. E-mails, messages on Facebook, telephone... It is only after a virtual harassment from us that we managed to get an answer. An extremely imprecise one, but I will let you judge the situation by yourself. We have been told by Victoria Game that they intended to use a crowdfunding (platform: Game on Tabletop) so they could fund that translation of the V3: we consider this is already a moral a problem. It seems to us that this is an improper method to use that kind of system for something that should be proposed systematically by anyone claiming to be the official distributor.
 
But the real problem isn't here. No, the real problem is that we were told this project should have begun IN THE BEGINNING OF NOVEMBER 2019 !!! And since this announcement, we have only had a few "updates" on the 8th of January 2020.
 
Please, let me share with you some sentences taken from this message on their Facebook : "Kings of War's availibility is confused even for us. We have to discuss about it with Mantic at the end of the month so we can know where we are going with this game which is a huge success in other countries." ; "A professionnal translator and enthousiast about our games is supposed to have started the translation which is also supposed to be made at 40%" They erased this message the day after they posted it, so this message may not be valid anymore.

The way we understand this message (and we really hope that we are wrong about it) is simple : to us, it is clear that they have no idea of what they're doing ! In the end of their message they say that the only thing they are sure about is that we shall have a translation of Kings of War V3 and Uncharted Empires, but when and how, we don't have any clue...
 
This is a warning that we, clients and fans, are issuing with the hope that you will give us an answer. We are numerous on the French Web claiming that we are really willing to invest ourselves financially to buy your books and miniatures, and more, to invest our energy so we can see your games thrive in our country. This is how we intend to participate in the success of Mantic Games in France. A success you truly deserve. And we fear that the future of your games is compromised in France if a real subtantive work isn't done.

At this very hour, when this letter is written, even the 9th age has its own French version ! Please understand that we fear to see your games slowly but certainly die in our country if those translations aren't made, and we mean well made. This work is not dispensable, it is vital ! We simply cannot accept a vague answer basically saying "We're working on it but we don't know how and when" for something supposed to begin one month and a half ago ! And this lack of communication and organisation is what is frustrating us the most.
 
Whichever solution you choose, we want you to know that we trust you. Sorry if this sounds repetitive but we love your games, and we love Mantic Games. We all consider it is really regrettable we had to contact you directly just to get a clear answer. We would all have sincerely prefered a harmonious and regular communication with Victoria Game without having to get to that last resort.
 
We hope that we will continue to play with your games for a very long time, that we will continue to buy your goods, and contribute to the success of Mantic in France.
